arcissism is a manifestation of the Illusion of Self which demonstrates the illness of body, mind and soul. As with all spiritual illness, there is a devotion by humans to their egos rather than allegiance to God. An individual rebel soul has a pro-God proclivity, and it becomes a human after the birth and alignment with a designated body. The body, which the soul approved before reincarnating, is joined by the soul after the birth and at the soul's discretion. An anti-God ego is an integral element of the body, beginning with its inception. The ego is a component of each individual life, which acts God-like but without allegiance to God. Thereafter, negative emotions are established by an individual, based on perceptions which are made while interacting with other humans. The emotions become the foundation for an Illusion of Self out of which patterns of behavior evolve. It is with this ego-controlled illusionary self that an individual interacts with the rest of humanity. The configuration of emotions and ensuing behavior of some individuals are manifested in a manner that others consider undesirable and to be a disease. Narcissistic behavior is an illusionary self-manifestation that is objectionable, and it is a spiritual disease.

Narcissism is a spiritual dysfunction in which the number of males afflicted is double the rate of females. When narcissists receive criticism about their deportment, they respond with flurries of child-like self-justification. Indeed, it is characteristic of narcissists to be in states of being which are associated with children who are ten to sixteen years old, except that they are much more troublesome and difficult to interact with than children. Relating with an adult who is twenty, thirty, forty or more and narcissistic is as harassing an experience as is possible to have. Included in their demeanors are inclinations toward violence but not to the degree of committing homicides. There are more options about how to deal with the behavioral problems of a normal child than with the narcissism of an adult.

Narcissism usually develops as individuals approach twenty years of age. Thereafter, they mature in being unreasonable, argumentative, unjustifiably competitive, and wanting and expecting immediate gratification of their whims. In addition they exhibit duplistic, manipulative, deceitful and conniving conduct. Narcissists are also perceived by fellow humans as being arrogant, self-idealizing and complacent about improving their deportment.

Narcissists are individuals who have an underlying seething anger and a desire for revenge. They are mortals who did not receive nurturing love as children and were subjected to considerable psychological abuse. Gradually, they develop personalities which they believe approach perfection, and they do not understand why they are not appreciated by other humans. Focusing on their egos instead of spiritual counsel, and the subsequent poor choices which they make, enables their egos to create narcissistic personalities.

Most narcissistic personalities have compulsions to amass material possessions and wealth. It appears that these holdings receive the love which they cannot bestow on or want from another human. There is usually a display of wealth by a narcissist in an effort to establish a relationship with another individual. It is a ploy to cement the relationship into one whereby the narcissist tries to have complete control of the other individual. To a narcissist, another human is a challenge and one to be possessed and tormented with the carrot and stick technique.

Narcissistic behavior on the human plane has increased dramatically during the past century. It has become more pronounced during the last fifty years and continues to proliferate at an alarming rate. At present, approximately one third of humanity manifests narcissistic behavior in varying degrees of intensity. It is a situation about which the rest of the human race needs to become aware, since cooperation from these individuals is difficult to obtain. Unfortunately, many narcissists occupy positions of influence and great power. They use it for their self-aggrandizement rather than to help solve the plethora of problems related to humanity's survival.

The complication of narcissistic behavior is world-wide and one which humankind will have to soon address. There have been great changes on the human plane during the last four years which have highlighted the global nature of humankind's dilemma. It is becoming more apparent to the average individual that many of their leaders, in all fields of human endeavor, do not have solutions. Their approaches to predicaments are outdated, and the old bromides are ineffective. It is necessary for every mortal to help create an environment in which the narcissism of their leaders becomes ineffective. This seemingly impossible task can be accomplished when individuals seek the assistance of God. The only way to reach this resource is by oneself and not through ineffectual institutions. When individuals unite with the God within themselves, the omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence of God can manifest through them. Only then can the proliferation of the spiritual disease and negative power of narcissism be neutralized and brought under control.
